A day at Krka at your own pace
Krka National Park is the easiest of Croatia's great waterfall parks to reach from Zadar: about 80 km and one hour on the motorway. Coach tours fix your timetable and fill the walkways at the same moment. A private transfer lets you arrive early, take the time you want and leave before the afternoon heat.
Saša drops you at the entrance you choose, waits while you walk the trails, and picks you up when you are done. Water and phone chargers are in the car, and your bags stay safely inside.
Lozovac or Skradin entrance
From Lozovac a short walk or park bus takes you down to Skradinski buk, the largest waterfall. From Skradin a park boat runs up the river to the same point, and the small harbour town is a good place for lunch after. Saša will suggest the better start for your day based on the season and the crowds.
Make it a full day
- Šibenik on the way back, for St James's Cathedral and the old town
- Primošten, a postcard village on the coast
- A transfer from Zadar to Split with a Krka stop in between
- A combined day with Krka in the morning and the coast in the afternoon
Good to know before you go
In summer, buy park tickets online in advance and plan to arrive in the morning. Swimming at the waterfalls is no longer allowed, so bring comfortable shoes rather than swimwear. The park can be busy in July and August, and the early start is worth it.
